Refund & Cancellation Policy

How cancellations and refunds work for Pancam Pro. Written plainly, because billing surprises are the worst kind.

Summary

  • Pancam Pro is sold only through the App Store and Google Play. Apple and Google take the payment, not us.
  • We cannot issue refunds for these purchases. We have no access to the money and no mechanism to return it. Refunds are requested from Apple or Google directly.
  • Cancel in your store account, not on Pancam. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Pro until the period you have already paid for ends.
  • The Day Pass is a one-off purchase and does not renew, so there is nothing to cancel.
  • If you paid and Pro did not activate, that we can fix — see below. It is an access problem, not a money problem.

What we sell

The core random video chat service is free and always will be. Pancam offers one optional paid product, Pancam Pro, which unlocks additional matching filters, Group vs Group rooms and priority placement in the matching queue.

Pro is available as a one-off Day Pass and as auto-renewing weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions. It is a digital service delivered immediately on successful payment. Nothing is shipped.

Who bills you

When you buy Pro in the Pancam app, the transaction happens entirely inside Apple's or Google's payment system. They are the merchant of record: they charge your payment method, they calculate and remit the tax, they hold the subscription, and the charge appears on your statement under their name rather than ours.

This is not a choice we made for convenience. Both stores require that digital content unlocked inside an app is sold through their own billing system.

The practical consequence, stated plainly: we never receive your payment directly, so we cannot return it. Any page, email or person telling you that Pancam will refund a store purchase is mistaken.

Cancelling your subscription

Cancel in your store account. Cancelling stops future charges and you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account returns to the free tier automatically.

On iPhone or iPad:

On Android:

Deleting the Pancam app does not cancel a subscription, and neither does deleting your Pancam account. This catches people out often enough to be worth stating twice: the subscription lives in your store account, and it keeps billing until you cancel it there.

Requesting a refund

Refunds are handled by whichever store you bought from, under their own refund policies and timelines. We are not part of that decision and cannot influence, expedite or overturn it.

Apple (App Store):

  • Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple Account.
  • Find the Pancam purchase, choose "Request a refund" and pick a reason.
  • Apple typically responds within 24–48 hours.

Google (Play Store):

  • Go to play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory, find the purchase and choose "Request a refund" or "Report a problem".
  • Google refunds most purchases automatically if requested within 48 hours; after that it is reviewed case by case.

Both stores will ask for a reason. Being specific and factual about what went wrong helps — "the feature I paid for did not work" is more useful to them than "I changed my mind".

What we can help with

We cannot move money, but several of the problems that send people looking for a refund are not actually money problems, and those we can fix quickly:

  • You paid but Pro did not activate. Usually the purchase completed while you were signed out, or a store notification was delayed. Tap Restore purchases on the Pro screen in the app first. If that does not work, email us with your order ID and we will activate it manually.
  • Pro is missing on one device. Sign in with the same Pancam account and tap Restore purchases. Pro follows your account, not your device.
  • You were charged after cancelling. We can confirm what our records show and give you a written summary to attach to your refund request. The refund itself still comes from the store.
  • You do not recognise a charge. We can tell you whether a Pancam account exists for your email and when it was active. If someone used your payment method without permission, report it to Apple or Google — and tell us, so we can secure the account.

Email billing@pancam.live. We acknowledge within 2 business days.

What is not refundable

These are our terms of service, separate from the store's refund decision:

  • Subscriptions cancelled or terminated because of a breach of our Community Rules or Terms of Service. Bans for prohibited conduct forfeit any remaining paid period, and we will not support a refund request in those cases.
  • Dissatisfaction with the behaviour of other users, where you have not reported it and given moderation an opportunity to act.
  • Inability to use the service caused by your own hardware, camera, browser or internet connection, where the service itself was operational.

Your legal rights

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under consumer protection law in your own country. Where the law gives you a refund or cancellation right that goes beyond what is described here, the law applies.

Because Apple or Google is the seller of record for these purchases, statutory claims about the transaction itself are generally directed to them. If you believe you have a legal right we have failed to honour, write to billing@pancam.live and tell us which right and which jurisdiction, and we will take it seriously.

Chargebacks

Please use the store's own refund process before asking your bank to reverse a charge. Apple and Google are usually faster, and a chargeback against a store purchase can result in your entire store account being restricted — not just Pancam.

If a chargeback is raised against a Pancam purchase, we may suspend Pro access on the account while it is resolved.
