Child Safety Standards

Our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

1 · Our commitment

Pancam has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. There is no context, no framing and no interpretation in which it is permitted on this service.

This is not a policy we balance against other considerations. An account involved in CSAE is removed permanently on the first instance, without warning and without appeal, and the matter is referred to law enforcement.

2 · Pancam is strictly 18+

Pancam is not designed for, directed to, or intended for anyone under 18. Nobody under 18 may create an account or use the service, in any country, under any circumstance.

  • Age confirmation is required on first visit and again at signup, and the confirmation is recorded.
  • Our Google Play listing is set to an 18 and over target age group.
  • We have enabled Google Play’s restriction blocking users it identifies as minors from downloading or subscribing.
  • Where we have reason to believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we restrict or remove it — we do not wait for proof.

3 · Prohibited conduct

The following are prohibited absolutely and result in immediate permanent removal:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — photographic, recorded, drawn, animated, computer-generated or AI-generated.
  • Nudity, sexual activity or sexually suggestive conduct involving anyone under 18.
  • Grooming — any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes, including flattery, gifts, secrecy, or moving the conversation to another platform.
  • Soliciting, requesting or attempting to obtain sexual content from a minor.
  • Sexualising a minor in conversation, including describing, roleplaying or requesting such content.
  • Sextortion — threatening to share intimate images to coerce a minor.
  • Trafficking, or advertising, offering or seeking a minor for any sexual purpose.
  • Directing a minor to, or attempting to bring one onto, this service.

Attempting any of the above is treated identically to completing it.

4 · How we prevent it

  • Age gating. Age confirmation before access and at signup, with the confirmation recorded against the account.
  • 18+ store listing. Distribution is restricted to adults, and Google Play’s minor-user restriction is enabled.
  • Reporting on every session. A report control is present on every chat screen, with a dedicated child-safety category.
  • Priority escalation. Reports categorised as child safety are escalated ahead of all other report types.
  • Account removal. Confirmed CSAE results in permanent removal, not suspension.
  • No stored media. Video and audio are peer-to-peer and never recorded by us, and text messages are never written to our servers — so this service holds no library of content that could be exploited or breached.

5 · How to report

In the app: the report control on any chat screen. Choose Child safety and add whatever detail you can. Session details are attached automatically.

By email: safety@pancam.live. This address is monitored and child-safety reports are prioritised.

You do not need to be certain. Report anything that worries you. We would far rather review a hundred reports that turn out to be nothing than miss one that was real. You will never be penalised for reporting in good faith.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. We are not an emergency service and cannot intervene in real time.

6 · What we do about it

On a credible child-safety report:

  • The reported account is restricted immediately, before review — we act first and assess afterwards.
  • A human reviews the report and all associated account data.
  • Where CSAE is confirmed, the account is permanently removed and the device and account are blocked from re-registering.
  • Account records and report data are preserved for law enforcement.
  • The matter is referred to the appropriate authority.

There is no strike system and no appeal for confirmed CSAE. It is not treated as a policy violation to be weighed against a user’s history.

7 · Evidence and data handling

When an account is removed for CSAE, we retain the account record, registration data, report contents and associated metadata for the period required by law and for provision to law enforcement — even where a normal account deletion would have erased them.

This is a deliberate exception to our deletion policy, described in our Privacy Policy. A person cannot erase a safety record by deleting their account.

8 · Working with authorities

We cooperate fully with law enforcement and child protection agencies. We respond to lawful requests for information relating to child safety investigations, and we report suspected CSAE proactively — we do not wait to be asked.

Pancam is operated from India and complies with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 together with the rules made under it. Where users are in other jurisdictions, we cooperate with the competent authority there.

9 · What we cannot do

Being straight about our limits matters more here than sounding capable, because people make safety decisions based on what they believe we can see.

  • We do not record calls. Video and audio pass directly between devices. This protects everyone’s privacy, and it also means that after a call ends we hold no recording of it — so we cannot review video after the fact, and neither can we provide it to investigators.
  • We do not run automated image scanning. We do not currently operate automated CSAM detection on live video. Our enforcement depends on user reports, which is why the report control is on every screen and why we ask people to use it freely.
  • Age confirmation is a declaration. It is not identity verification, and a determined person can defeat it. It is one layer among several, not a guarantee.

These are real gaps and we treat them as such. If you encounter anything involving a minor, reporting it is what makes enforcement possible.
